Dyadic art therapy intervention with indigenous foster children and foster parents

at “Indigenous roots of expressive arts therapy” Indigenous conference  (Winnipeg, 2017)

To help attendees consider the main challenges and potential benefits, I used metaphors from nature to demonstrate attachment, family, and community relationships. This workshop emphasized the nature of disconnection of the Indigenous foster children from their sources, including their families, community, and culture. Participants came to this workshop aiming to get new tools or ideas for their work with Indigenous foster children.
